  • I'm not very good with words but wanted to write a little something about this church.
I recently started going to this church. It's a warm church and the people are very friendly.
Olivia Robinson makes going to church feel like it should. It's like coming home.
Happy to go to the services there.
    Thanks
    Deb

  • The thing I like most about this church is its warmth, friendliness, and the fact that it makes me smile, mostly because I see so many other smiling faces when I'm there particularly on a Sunday - people simply happy to see that you've made it; people grinning at the cute little toddlers and other youngsters assembling on the floor in the center aisle for the part of the service known as the "children's message" (which often hits the mark with most the adults), given by the amazingly creative and dedicated Christian Faith Formation director; or the whole congregation broken up in laughter by some hilarious personal story that the minister weaves into her sermon (which invariably illustrates the spiritual point she is making). The typical Sunday service is fairly traditional Congregational, but the whole ethos of it (indeed, of not just the service but of all the Church's activities) is one of openness to the idea that there is meaning to life beyond the daily routine and that we can all be the better for it if we realize that there is a something worth seeking beyond ourselves. Whether you are a committed believer or someone who has doubts and continues to search, KCC has room for you, and something for you to take away from it. Most importantly, it exemplifies to me the good things about Christ's message - love, forgiveness, helping those less fortunate, looking for uplift and the brighter side of things. In a world where the message of many who claim to be the "most Christian" is one of dogmatic exclusion, intolerance, punishment, and fear, KCC says,"let's remember Christ's true message."

  • Last week was our first time at Kensington Congregational, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The kids loved the Sunday school part of it. I'm excited to say I think we found our church.

  • My sister was married in this church! It was such a beautiful service.. love was truly in the air. I continued to attend some of the services when possible and today my mom and I joined the church! We both are looking forward to being a part of this loving community!

  • We moved here about 2 years ago from New Orleans, Louisiana. To say I was "homesick" was an understatement.

I knew that if I was to begin making Connecticut my home, I needed to find my spiritual home.

As a Musician, it was as important for me to find my musical home.

    In KCC, I found both.

Pastor Olivia is a treasure. Her ability to translate Scripture into every day life lessons is remarkable. She teaches with humility, humor and an open heart.

Cory Terlecky, who directs the Choirs, is incrediby talented. The music is perfectly paired with the Service and isn't molded into a "box". There is Gospel, Jazz, Classical, High Church and Hymns.

If you're looking for a Spirtual home where all of your needs are met, I urge you to give us a try.

I know you won't be disappointed.
